Colt AR-15
Model 6500*
*Rare, late version of the R6500 series of Colt Rifles.
It is marked Sporter II but as you see the lower is slick sided despite being
labled SPII.
The upper is an M16 715 upper which is what Colt was contracted to supply the
Canadian military (C7 rifles).
The upper has A1 rear sight but has fwd assist and brass deflector.
These uppers were used late in the R6500 series (probably an over-run).
Condition... Not much to say. Pretty darn nice for a nearly
20yr old rifle.
Fired probably about 1k rounds over the years.
